Katy Perry Concert.

Now that I'm on holidays, I might try and post a bit more. Other than studying nothing too big has happened except for the fact that I went to the KATY PERRY CONCERT! I’m not going to lie, it was pretty amazing! May 5th finally rolled around and after a few hours at uni, my friends and I were on the road to go to the concert. We actually got really close to the front at the entertainment centre, we were in the front mosh pit and managed to get 3 rows from the front. Zowie performed and she was good. DJ Skeet Skeet came on next and he was really good! His set list really pumped everyone up for Katy Perry! And then Katy Perry came on!!!

Opening with Teenage Dream and closing with California Gurls just made me so happy! Plus, all the songs she sang in between made me happy too. (She played every song from the Teenage Dream album, a few from One of The Boys and did some covers as well.) I loved how in "Firework" she had fireworks on stage! And in "Hot N Cold", she changed outfits so many times just like how they do it in the magic shows! Words can’t fathom how excited I was and even thinking back on it just makes me feel ecstatic. I’m really hoping that she’ll release a tour dvd.

Reading/ Watching/ Listening list.

Reading: “Zoology” – Ben Dolnick. (Actually, I’ve read it over the Summer holidays and l loved it.)

Watching: “The Office” – Words can’t fathom how much I love this show! Perhaps I’m only doing a business degree is because I hope for a boss like Michael Scott? ;)

Listening: Robyn Dell’Unto – If I wrote all the music I was listening to this would be a pretty long post! So I thought I’d only share the person I’m actually listening to at this moment.

2011

This blog needs some TLC. So maybe that should have been my New Year’s Resolution? But like most people I can’t really keep my new year’s resolution – except for that year when I promised myself I had to read “The Virgin Suicides” by Jeffrey Eugenides before the year was over and I finished it on 31 December. Ah, that was a good way to end the year. Hopefully throughout the year I’ll make some changes to the blog and try to update it more frequently.

Enjoy the year! :)

Pollution.

My posts are few and far between but while I was researching an assignment I came along this photo:

"Empire State Building in New York City at night time."

Light pollution, and pollution in general really, is such a scary thing! At night time it’s suppose to be dark and the moon and millions of stars should be visible. But seeing this orange haze in this photo of New York is frightening. We take so many things for advantage and quite often than not something disastrous happens when we overuse the products. Although I don’t do huge things for the environment in my day-to-day life I try to make the small things matter. Try turning off water when you’re brushing your teeth, not keep the refrigerator door open & reusing plastic as much as you can because even just a few things can help the environment.

My two fish, Ariel and Ronnie. They've made numerous visits in my dreams lately!

21 July 2010

Other than my one game of netball I’ve done zero exercise! I’m really bad at being motivated to do things that I don’t really want to do. Plus it’s winter and it’s too cold to go out and exercise! Once it starts to heat up I’m sure I’ll have the energy and motivation to do something other than feeding my fish and watching cartoons. But these holidays have been pretty eventful, well the one major thing that happened was the fact my car broke down in a dark car park.. in a not so safe town.. at night time. Well, it wasn’t as bad as I made it out to be but I was mostly worried about the car blowing up. I always tend to think of the worst thing that could happen in any sort of situation.

I’ve still got textbooks and notebooks to buy for next semester but other than that I’m almost ready for another semester of study. ;)

Holidays.

I’ve finished my first semester of university! Which means I have just over a month’s holiday to get fit. Or I might sleep in every day, watch day time television and only venture outside to get the mail. Seriously though, I do need to get fit. One of my classes was on the 3rd level of a building and I had to walk up 50 steps of stairs! Now, 50 steps does sound like that much but when you haven’t exercised is so long it’s really a lot. I had to make sure I turned up to class a bit early so I wouldn’t be so puffed during the lectures! That’s how unfit I am!

But a month’s holiday means that I can update this blog more semi-regularly than what I have been.

P.S. 9000 views! Thanks! :)
